


Welcome to Small Axe BBQ, award winning craft ‘cue in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. We’re a competition BBQ team, host occasional restaurant take-overs, brewery pop-ups, and limited high end BBQ catering events. We cook with live fire in micro batches using only the finest quality, local ingredients.

Competing Nationally since 2022 we’ve won over 10 Grand Championships in 4 different states, and have represented Oregon the past 4 years at the Jack Daniel’s World BBQ Championships in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
Chasing BBQ competitions has granted us the opportunity to enjoy amazing BBQ, made with passion & love, and meet World-Class Pitmasters from all over the planet. We learn from each one and apply the best to everything we do. We cook from the heart, focusing on every bite.

Being small has some big advantages, we’re flexible enough to use the best smoker and method for each item, rather than make all items fit a specific cooker. It isn't about what's easiest for us, its about what works best. From making our own coals for direct fire smoking to splitting Oregon white oak for our traditional offset smoker, we’re able to focus on the fire to highlight the best flavor in each item.
Want to WOW your guests? Small Axe BBQ can also bring a traditional on-site, whole hog roast, to your celebration. We use only heritage breed hogs, combining old school techniques with new school equipment to create an unparalleled BBQ experience. Make a Pig Pickin’ part of your next event!
